Marketing Objectives


What do I want to accomplish with my game? Being the first game I am marketing on itch.io, I want to have a realistic approach to this. This game is due to be released at the start of June 2022. After one month of release, I would like to open up my analytics tab on the game and see that 20 people have taken the time to play my game in the browser. With my limited experience on itch.io, I am not sure how achievable it will be, which is why I opted for the lower end on the number scale for a target.

Another objective I have is  to receive feedback from players. More specifically, 3 comments on the game within the same time frame as a month. This would greatly help me to know ways that I can improve my game and take things away to learn for my next project. It would also be very great to that people enjoyed (hopefully) the game enough to leave a comment.

One final Objective I have is to see a conversion rate that is greater than 10% after a month of the game being released between people visiting the page and actually playing the game. This will indicate to me the effectiveness of my itch.io page when appealing to visitors of the page. Lets revisit these objectives in a few months and see how well I actually did.
