Evaluative Measures (KPI'S)

Using analytics is important once your marketing strategy is up and running, but I may end up studying multiple charts and graphs that may not even be that useful to me. Before I Start monitoring several statistics such as cost-per-lead, traffic, and customer lifetime value (Edgecomb, 2021), I first need to take a step back and remind myself of my objectives. As stated in one of my previous posts, is to  get 20 play sessions, receive three comments, and have a conversion rate from visitors to players that is greater than 10%. Knowing this, why would I spend hours looking at a flat-lined revenue graph for my free game? By knowing my objectives, I can now monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of my marketing through the use of suitable KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) (Qlik, 2022) .

Some KPI'S that I determine to be suitable for my game are as follows. The amount of traffic my itch page (Edgecomb, 2021) receives will provide important information and insight into how many people I am initially drawing attention to my game. Leading on from this is the Lead-to-Customer ratio (Edgecomb, 2021). with a number of people coming onto my page to look at my game, it is now important to find out how many people actually played my game or downloaded it, keeping in mind my target of 20 play sessions. And finally, using social media as one of my methods of marketing, I can monitor customer interactions from social media (Olafson, 2021) as well as my itch page to monitor the success of getting three comments on my game.
