The Importance of Marketing

For this game, I plan to dedicate a lot of my time to marketing. This game will have a smaller scope to previous games that I have developed, allowing me to spend more time both on the marketing and on polishing it to a professional standard. After spending a lot of time perfecting this game, it would be a shame for it to go unseen by the public, hence why I plan to market this game as effectively as possible. That is just one of many reasons that prove the importance of marketing. 

In order to continue developing games in the future, I will need a larger audience. This game will help to establish my presence within the gaming community, show my capabilities as a developer, and be the first step towards making a living from creating and selling games. The importance of marketing for this particular project is vital for these very reasons. Although I don't depend on revenue from game development at the minute, hence why I have no intentions to add a price tag to my game, I would like to build that base foundation of an audience to contribute to my future project success.
